【Register Account】 Notification of the Collection of Personal Data
According to the Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the PDPA), please read the Notification of the Collection of personal Data during Account Registration instituted by Kaohsiung Medical University (hereinafter referred to as the University) in accordance with the provisions of the PDPA.

Admissions & Student Recruitment Division, Office of Academic Affairs, Kaohsiung Medical University.
- Purpose of Collection:
Provide online services for the admissions & student recruitment system, including Information (Communication) Services (135), Information (Communication) and database Management (136), Information and Communication Security and Management (137).
- Classification of Personal Data:
(1) Type for identifying individuals (C001)
(2) Type for identifying in government data (C003)
(3) Individual description (C011)
- The time period, territory, recipients, and methods of which the personal data is used:
(1) Time Period: Five years
(2) Territory: The University
(3) Recipients: Our staff in charge of teaching and administration
(4) Methods: data retrieval and identity verification by automated means.
- Rights for personal data:
You shall be able to exercise the following rights with regard to your personal data in accordance with Article 3 of the PDPA: the right to make an inquiry of and to review your personal data; the right to request a copy of your personal data; the right to supplement or correct your personal data; the right to demand the cessation of the collection, processing or use of your personal data; and the right to erase your personal data. For the methods for exercising such rights, please contact the Unit.
- As provided by law, or upon a request duly made by competent authorities or judicial authorities, the Unit may provide personal data or related information to relevant authorities.
- After the Unit has informed you of the relevant information specified above, if you refuse to provide your personal data, you will not be able to complete the account registration for the University's admissions and enrollment information website. If you do not indicate objection and affirmatively provide your personal data to register accounts, your consent may be presumed given pursuant to Paragraph 3, Article 7 of the PDPA. A minor should obtain the consent of the guardian. The consent of the guardian may be presumed given if the guardian does not indicate objection.
