Basic Requirements
  1. A bachelor's degree or higher obtained from a university or an independent college recognized by the R.O.C. Ministry of Education.
  2. Applicant must have completed at least 3 courses (6 credits, 96 hours) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Calculus, not including experiment courses, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of B+ in all the prerequisite courses during the study period of the bachelor's degree used for applying;
  3. Applicant must submit a result from the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) with total score at or above 480. (https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/mcat/)
  4. The diploma, transcripts and other related documents should be verified by the R.O.C. Representative Office in the country. (If the original document is neither in English nor Chinese, a notarized translation copy is necessary.)
  5. Applicant whose native language is not English must provide official proof of English proficiency with scores at or above the following levels: CEFR_B2 Vantage, TOEFL_ITP543, TOEFL_iBT72, IELTS 5.5, GEPT_High-Intermediate, TOEIC_785, Cambridge Main Suite_FCE, or Linguaskill_160.
  6. The program enrolls potential applicants of diverse backgrounds, not be influenced by any political or financial factors, and not discriminate against the gender, place of origin and/or residence, and background.

Evaluation for Admission
  1. Evaluation of the GPA scores of the prerequisite courses.
  2. Applicant who submits a result from the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) with total score at or above 492 is preferred.
  3. Applicant with enough Chinese proficiency and has passed Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) level 5 or higher (or other equivalent standardized tests) is preferred. When official proof of Chinese ability is unavailable, a letter of recommendation to certify that the candidate is equipped with enough Chinese proficiency to understand the lectures taught in Chinese is required.
  4. If necessary, an interview will be conducted via web. 
Remark
  1. All applicants admitted to the program have to attend the first session of the program which begins on July 31, 2024.
  2. The program is taught in Chinese.
